It’s 5 of dawn, with birds chirping and wind howling. Mild sun rays hitting the deck.
A tedious chirp echoing the hallway. We all wander in the search of the sound. Running around the house to find the origin. But all goes to vain.
Then my little brother points out to the chimney. And that’s where we found ‘Chirpy’ the swallow.
His colours turned grey. His feathers shed ash. Waiting in his nest for a company. He seems unable to fly. But is afraid of hands too. Living in a nest on the edge of chimney. Waiting for his mother.
The nest was small and we were glad that the chimney wasn’t used. We took him out and took care of him. Fed the little Chirpy.
Soon, his momma came to check on him. Creating a ruckus in the chimney. All we could do is to welcome a new member in the family.
Now the chimney is just a show and Chirpy is the father of 4.
