His 45th birthday and 20th year in Jail

“It is his 45th birthday and 20th year in jail ?? Oh, that’s a very long time. What crime had he committed ??”

“He had ruthlessly murdered his sister’s husband for having disrespected and beat her. The younger brother could not see his mother-like sister being treated like that.”

My Freedom

August 15, 2018 in Random Awesomeness

I dream of a freedom
Where choices are my own
Oblivion of people’s tone.
Where I’m not questioned for taking a step out as to ‘where and how ‘
It should only be about ‘r u happy now’
When misogyny won’t prevail
A freedom, that all will hail.
I dream of a freedom
When I’ll be free from clutches of inequality.
I promise I’ll keep up with my morality.
72nd year of Azaadi, we are celebrating.
For my 72 seconds of mental freedom, I’m still waiting!

TILL THE LAST BREATH : LET ME FLY

August 15, 2018 in Random Awesomeness

IMG_20180815_183718_151.jpg

Pain is a pesky part of being human, I’ve learned it feels like a stab wound to the heart, something I wish we could all do without, in our lives here. Pain is a sudden hurt that can’t be escaped. But then I have also learned that because of pain, I can feel the beauty, tenderness, and freedom of healing. Pain feels like a fast stab wound to the heart. But then healing feels like the wind against your face when you are spreading your wings and flying through the air! We may not have wings growing out of our backs, but healing is the closest thing that will give us that wind against our faces.
So spread your wings and FLY TILL THE LAST BREATH. Never give up.

Azaadi -Freedom

August 15, 2018 in Random Awesomeness

Freedom has different dimensions for different people. It is a very emotional term for those who have experienced captivity. And by captivity , I just dont mean slavery, it’s the imprisonment of thoughts,of actions,of expression,of attire, of long lineage of traditions which are being followed illogically ,of superstitious,of each and everything that is yet to see a day break, that is yet to breathe in fresh air.
For me freedom is waking up in the morning afresh, fearless, free from the fear of being late for office or household chores where your boss or mother in law are waiting to screw you the minute yoy shpw up. For me freedom is when you are free to express what you feel is right, free to choose your lifestyle, free to put across an opinion , freedom of not knowing things and still being ok with that. You may not have a view on every aspect of life but whatever you have, freedom to enjoy it ,even if it’s like being childish when you are a broke.Freedom for me is more importantly found in our daily routine and daily chores rather than making it a once in while thing.
But the sad part is, this freedom will never be served to you,you will never be entitled to any of these by itself. There will always be people around to judge you for your choice of clothes, thoughts, expressions. The only way you can enjoy freedom is stand up for yourself. You may find it really hard, tears might trickle down your cheeks as well but it will competely be worth it. We have got one life, why not spend it with our self-found freedom.

“Her dear, last deep breath”

”When she is indifferent to each and every critic on the earth that she ever came across,
when she is no longer affected by all the judgemental beings of the world,
when she is no longer affected by bitter over-open tongues,
when she expects the least from anyone and everyone,
when she no longer has to explain her actions to scrutinizing eyes,
when she does not crave any more goodwill and fame,
when she is contented with the amount of knowledge that she has gained,
when she is curious no longer,
when she confides enough in her ownself,
when she has grasped optimum skill,
when she believes that she has employed all the ability and talent that she was born with,
when she accepts that she has nurtured souls and hearts,
when she realizes she has actually feeded and touched many souls,
when she is grateful even if she is barely breathing,
when she is able to smile and be an optimist even the most terrifying of situations,
when she is able to smile and be an optimist even the most terrifying of situations,
that is when she will be able to take her dear, last deep breath.”

Attraction

August 14, 2018 in Random Awesomeness

It was just a glance,
Not a stealthy look,
Not a pouring out of souls,
Into your dark brown eyes,
And I swear that I was blown away.
Suddenly, you looked at me,
Was it curiousity? Was it attraction,
Electricity sparked between us,
Messages were exchanged through eyes,
His smile took my last breath away.

We may complaint that our country is like this and like that. But lets ask ourselves again. Isn’t it the same place where our soul belongs to?
